Storage Tips:

  • Long fermented sourdough is intended to be eaten within a few days.
  • To keep fresh longer, try slicing and freezing in a zip lock bag. Then simply toast and enjoy!
  • For a crunchy crust, store in paper or cut loaf in half and store face-down on the cutting board. This will keep the crust crusty and the inside crumb soft.
  • For a softer crust, store in plastic.

A great new discovery!

We had the Rustic sourdough boule. Picked up Thursday, popped it in the freezer, pulled it out at about 1:00 in the afternoon today. Popped it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes and it was so delicious. Crunchy hard crust, soft inside, and a wonderful sourdough flavor, with a little whole wheat mixed in. I will definitely order again!
